Ronaldo Eyes More Records After Breaking 850-Goal Mark
Cristiano Ronaldo wants to “go even further” after becoming the first player to score 850 career goals.

Lisbon, Portugal — Cristiano Ronaldo is not slowing down anytime soon.

He is the all-time leading scorer for both Portugal and Manchester United, and he is second only to Josef Bican on the all-time list of men’s career goals scored.
The Portuguese superstar said on Wednesday that he wants to “go even further” after becoming the first player to score 850 career goals.
Ronaldo, who is 38 years old, made the remarks at a press conference ahead of Portugal’s upcoming European Championship qualifiers against Slovakia and Luxembourg.
“I want more,” Ronaldo said. “As long as I play I want to set the bar very high, I have to think big.”
Ronaldo has already broken numerous goal-scoring records during his career. He is the all-time leading scorer for both Portugal and Manchester United, and he is second only to Josef Bican on the all-time list of men’s career goals scored.
Ronaldo is also a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, and he is considered to be one of the greatest footballers of all time.
He is not the only player who is chasing records. Lionel Messi, Ronaldo’s longtime rival, is also closing in on the 850-goal mark. Messi has scored 809 goals in his career, and he is expected to reach the 850-goal milestone in the next few years.
The rivalry between Ronaldo and Messi has been one of the most fascinating stories in sports history. The two players have dominated the game for over a decade, and they have both won numerous individual and team awards.
Ronaldo and Messi are both still playing at a high level, and it is possible that they could both break the 900-goal mark in their careers.
Ronaldo is focused on the present, however, and he is determined to help Portugal qualify for the 2024 European Championship.
“I really want to win these two matches,” Ronaldo said. “If we win we will practically qualify.”
Portugal is currently top of Group J in Euro 2024 qualifying, and they are two points ahead of Serbia. The top two teams in the group will qualify for the tournament.
Ronaldo is confident that Portugal can qualify, and he is looking forward to the challenge.
“We have a good team,” Ronaldo said. “We have to be focused and we have to work hard.”
Ronaldo is an inspiration to many people, and his goal-scoring record is truly remarkable. He is still going strong at 38 years old, and it will be interesting to see how many more records he can break in the years to come.
